There are no rest rooms, no water at the start.

Mondays Fixed Gear Spin 6:00 PM Varies Open Cherokee Blvd George DeVeny grdev@aol.com  Park at the first parking lot on the left past the fountain from Kingston Pike. Come and go as you want.
Some folks with earlier schedules may get there around five o'clock. Typically, the ride lasts 1 1/2 hours or so. I'm just the coordinator, not the leader, so show and go as you choose

  Show up at 6:45 for the best ride of the week. Pedal through Townsend, and up the long climb to Cades Cove. The Cades Cove Loop Road is closed to autos until 10 a.m., so we'll ride around the loop, enjoying gorgeous scenery and the occasional bear. After a stop at the camp store in the C.C. Campground, we head back down the wonderful descent, and back to the cars. If you have time, bring clothes to change into, and enjoy lunch at the Tomato Head in Maryville.

If it is a rainy day, no ride. Call Jim if you are unsure.
Wednesdays Wednesday Night Ride 5:30 PM 21, 27 or 30 options Open Fireworks Superstore, Watt Road and I-40 Show and Go   We start at 5:30 and will explore some new roads.
It is a show and go ride, you may want to bring a friend to be sure you won't be alone. Begin riding at 5:30, others come later. Bathrooms are available.

South Knox Ride

30 Interm. Howard Pinkston Library Helen Picou picou@aol.com  Routes and distance vary weekly. Casual group ride, regrouping as needed. Usually the group rides at about 15 mph for two hours.

 

PACE KEY:

Beginner (12 mph or less) Ride leader sets pace to match slowest rider
Intermediate (13-15 mph) Ride leader sets pace, plans/announces regroup points every 10 miles
Experienced (16+ mph) Ride leader sets pace, plans/announces regroup points every 15-20 miles
Open (ride at own speed) Ride at your own pace, provides cue sheet/painted course
