I'm spending a week in Sevierville at the end of July, first part of August, renting a house with extended family, and was looking for help with bicycle routes in the area. Can anyone recommend any, or is there a route map of the area? I ride a Lynskey and would love to ride in the mountains of the state where she started out. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Unfortunately, I'm back after a week in your very hilly country. I got three rides in, one a leisurely trip through Cades Cove without traffic with my wife and daughter. Beautiful country. Another was a 26.2 mile ride I got on a cue sheet at Shifting Gears. Again, gorgeous back-country roads, but not a bike lane in sight. (Actually, the only bike lane I saw was basically a sidewalk along Veterans Boulevard). And the other ride was the crusher. I rode up the mountain where our rented house was on Walker Trail Road. The caretaker said it was a 9 percent grade. I believe him. Yikes. I'm back to moderate hills and moderate weather. Buffalo in the summer is worth the winter. Sorry I missed you.
