11th annual Cherohala Challenge
Registration opens February 15th, 2010
Check back on the website for registration details.
DUE TO THE EPIC NATURE OF THIS EVENT AND THE ENORMOUS EFFORTS REQUIRED BY THE VOLUNTEERS TO STAFF THE REST STOPS AND SAG SUPPORT THERE WILL BE NO DAY OF RIDE REGISTRATION.
Join us on June 19th, 2010 for the 11th Annual Cherohala Challenge.
In addition to the 115-mile Challenge and the 62-mile Metric Challenge, there will be a “Ride the Valley” 50-mile route for those who prefer wonderful scenery along gently rolling terrain. All routes start and finish at the Tellico Plains visitor’s Center
The Challenge: A 115 mile route takes riders up The Dragon (with its famous 318 curves over 11 miles) and UP and over the Cherohala Skyway. These legendary ribbons of pavement are joined by scenic, rolling, country roads in Tennessee and North Carolina. Together they create an unforgettable epic ride with over 9,000 feet of elevation gain. Make no mistake, the Cherohala Challenge is an epic ride. All riders taking on the Challenge are expected to have the fitness and experience to finish an epic ride.
Are you up for The Challenge?
