Both Bikely and MapMyRide are free (mostly), powerful, web-based mapping tools for planning bike routes. Both offer point and click mapping, syncing with GPS devices, elevation profiles, and cue sheets. While MapMyRide is more feature-rich, some of the additional features cost. On the other hand (in the webmaster's experience), Bikely is more stable and less likely to crash while mapping.
