Check
list
If you are a new rider,
you may not know what to bring with you to the ride. Here is a
check list of things to consider.
Clothing:
Prepare for the worst. Bring rain
gear designed for bicycling (ask at your local bike shop).
If the weather is cool, you will want to dress warmly and strip
off layers as you ride.
You will also want to have the following:
Tools:
Your bicycle should be in good condition before you show up for
the ride. If you are not sure, take it to a bike shop
and have them inspect and repair any problems. For problems encountered
on the ride, Sag support will help.
In the event of a major break down, you may have to be sagged
to the finish. It is always a good idea to ride with a spare tube
and an air supply so that you will not have to wait for help.
Road conditions should be excellent so flatting should be minimal.
Wet weather will increase the likelihood of a puncture.
Food
and Water:
Rest stops will supply power
bars, fruit, and water. Supplements and other nourishment is up
to you.
